Terms of Service

By creating an account or using SteadStack, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are using SteadStack on behalf of an organization (such as a farm, ranch, or business), you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

SteadStack is a cloud-based farm and ranch management platform that provides tools for operational task management, livestock tracking, inventory management, purchasing workflows, double-entry accounting, and multi-site property management. The service is provided "as is" and we continuously improve and update features. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice.

To use SteadStack, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for: - Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials - All activity that occurs under your account - Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. Accounts created with false or misleading information may be terminated.

SteadStack offers a free tier and several paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed either monthly or annually through Stripe. - **Free Plan**: Limited features and usage caps as described on our pricing page - **Paid Plans**: Billed in advance for the chosen billing period - **Upgrades**: Take effect immediately with prorated charges - **Downgrades**: Take effect at the next billing period - **Cancellation**: You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice. We will notify you via email before any price increase takes effect.

You agree to use SteadStack only for lawful purposes related to managing agricultural or business operations. You may not: - Use the service to store or transmit malicious code - Attempt to access other tenants' data or circumvent security controls - Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or overload the service - Resell or redistribute the service without written permission - Use the service in violation of any applicable laws or regulations - Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

You retain all ownership rights to the data you enter into SteadStack. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your operational data, financial records, or other content. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. This license terminates when you delete your account. You are responsible for maintaining backups of any critical data. While we perform regular backups, we recommend periodic data exports for your own records.

SteadStack, including its software, design, logos, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Bartholomew Development LLC. Your subscription grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service during your subscription period. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the SteadStack software.

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to: - Scheduled maintenance (we will provide advance notice when possible) - Emergency security patches - Infrastructure issues beyond our control (Google Cloud Platform outages) - Force majeure events We are not liable for any damages resulting from service downtime.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bartholomew Development LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of SteadStack. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. SteadStack is a management tool, not a substitute for professional accounting, veterinary, or legal advice. Financial reports generated by the service should be reviewed by a qualified accountant before use for tax filing or regulatory compliance.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bartholomew Development LLC, its officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

You may terminate your account at any time through the Settings page or by contacting support. Upon termination: - Your access to the service will end at the close of the current billing period - Your data will remain in read-only mode for 30 days - After 30 days, data is scheduled for permanent deletion - You may request a data export during the 30-day retention period We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you violate these terms, with or without notice.

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of SteadStack shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in the state where Bartholomew Development LLC is registered. You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Bartholomew Development LLC is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of SteadStack after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
